Do you, like me, often find yourself longing for a comfortable, fun place where you can talk about the books you’re reading — a place where criticism has a place but the conversation isn’t an intellectual pissing contest?
If so, then look no further than “That’s On My List,” Manqué’s new book club.
Each month, we will pick a new book to read as a group, and on or around the 15th, we will open this book up for discussion. We’ll talk about what we loved, what we were confused about, and consider any themes or pieces of cultural connective tissue that the book made us think about.
For January, to kick off “That’s On My List,” we’re reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s new book, City of Girls.
Do you have any books that you’d like to see added to our list for 2020? Let us know.
In the meantime, happy reading *clink*.
